Journalist, Sign Language Translator and Interpreter. Translation Consultant. Graduated from the professional development course in sign language interpretation (Libras) at Feneis-CE (2004-2005). Holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Unifor (2005) with certified proficiency in Libras Translation and Interpretation by the ProLibras/MEC Exam (2006) and in Libras Use and Teaching by the ProLibras/MEC Exam (2009). Holds a Master's degree in Translation Studies from UFSC (2010) with a descriptive research on translation performances for Libras, supervised by Prof. Dr. Ronice Müeller de Quadros. Holds a PhD in Translation from UFSC (2018) with a functionalist research on translation methods of poems from Libras to Portuguese, supervised by Prof. Dr. Markus J. Weininger. Experience in translation and interpretation; poetic translation; audio dubbing; musical translation and interpretation; and translation consulting. Current research interests: descriptive and functional lexicographical studies of sign languages; intermodal translation of sensitive texts; ecclesiastical interpretation; and training of sign language translators and interpreters.
